The Manager, Health Care Compliance Officer serves as a strategic healthcare compliance partner to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine business teams, enabling compliant growth through risk-based, principles-driven guidance and decision support. This role collaborates closely with business leaders and cross-functional partners to integrate healthcare compliance and corporate integrity principles into business strategies, programs, processes, and execution plans.

Operating within a dynamic and highly regulated environment, the Manager translates evolving legal, regulatory, and policy requirements into practical, actionable guidance that supports both business objectives and ethical standards. Consistent with the Innovative Medicine compliance strategy, this role helps advance a principles-based, risk-informed approach to compliance that emphasizes accountability, sound judgment, and compliance by design.

The Manager may support multiple products, functions, and operating companies and will contribute to the ongoing effectiveness of the Health Care Compliance program through partnership, oversight, risk assessment, education, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, providing actionable, risk-based guidance and compliant options that enable strategic objectives while appropriately managing compliance risk.
  • Review commercial strategies, initiatives, transactions, communications, and materials to facilitate compliant growth and ensure alignment with company policies, healthcare compliance guidance, industry standards, and applicable federal and state laws.
  • Translate legal, regulatory, and policy requirements into clear, practical, and business-relevant guidance that supports timely and effective decision-making.
  • Assess and manage compliance risks for key business initiatives, identifying emerging risks and trends and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support and conduct risk assessments, monitoring activities, and oversight efforts; analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen compliance controls.

  • Support the development and optimization of compliance processes, governance mechanisms, and tools to improve operational effectiveness and ensure alignment with the organization's risk profile.
  • Assess compliance-related educational needs and develop and deliver training, coaching, and communications that reinforce a culture of accountability, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
  • Ensure accountability for compliance through risk assessment, issue identification, corrective action implementation, oversight and monitoring activities, investigations, and follow-up actions in alignment with applicable compliance processes and systems.
  • In partnership with Health Care Compliance leadership, Human Resources, and the Global Legal Organization, support appropriate management of compliance concerns and promote consistent application of company policies and standards.
  • Communicate healthcare compliance standards, evolving regulations, policy requirements, and emerging risk areas to compliance committees, business partners, and other stakeholders.
