Role Overview
As Manager, Global Public Sector - Government Payments, you will work closely with subject matter experts and sales teams to deliver relevant and timely research and insights, sales enablement materials, executive-ready documents and data analysis to enable effective engagement with government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the execution of global public sector priorities across government payment flows
• Conduct research across all government payment flows, such as government-to-person (G2P) disbursements, collections (taxes, fees), and public procurement.
• Track country and regional trends related to government payments.
• Prepare competitor and market analysis for internal use.
• Analyze and provide deal-specific intelligence and research to support Public Sector team members.
• Analyze datasets related to payment volumes, transaction types, and program performance.
• Create briefing notes, presentations, and internal summaries to support senior meetings.
• Maintain and update internal reference materials and benchmarks.
• Assist in the preparation of training and knowledge-sharing resources.
• Respond to ad hoc requests for research and analysis to support business development.
All About You:
• 5-7 years' experience in analysis, public sector, payments, financial services, or consultancy.
• Strong analytical and performance tracking skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Advanced project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines and stakeholders in parallel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint for creating data-driven outputs and presentations and proficiency with research and analytic agentic tools.
• Familiarity with government financial processes or payment systems is an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
