Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As part of a high performing team, you will drive operational excellence within the RBC GAM Fund & Portfolio Operations team. This role combines technical expertise in fund accounting, investment and portfolio operations with strong leadership capabilities to deliver ongoing improvements and oversight of major controls. You will lead a team responsible for accurate and timely valuation of RBC GAM mutual funds, overseeing daily Net Asset Value (NAV) production and ensuring valuations and reporting to all systems and stakeholders within fixed deadlines.
What will you do?NAV & Valuation Operations Oversight- Oversee daily NAV production and valuations across all RBC mutual funds
- Ensure accurate accounting for portfolio transactions, income accruals, corporate actions, expenses, cash management and unitholder transactions
- Ensure reconciliation of portfolio holdings, cash, units and general ledger balances
- Oversee security lifecycle from trade capture through settlement and reconciliation
- Review valuation exceptions and pricing discrepancies, including security valuations (fixed income, equities, derivatives, privates)
- Maintain internal controls over valuation processes and act as the escalation point, providing guidance on valuation issues, accounting treatments and ongoing accuracy of Accounting Book of Record (ABOR)
- Ensure compliance with fund prospectuses, valuation policies, accounting standards and regulatory guidance
- Support internal and external audits by providing technical expertise and documentation
- Support improvement of EAGLE Accounting, Gresham Reconciliation and other platforms; system implementations and technology initiatives
Leadership & Team Management- Lead, coach, and develop fund and portfolio operations team
- Drive operational improvements, process automation, operating procedures and documentation
- Establish relationships with operations leads, technology, custodians, transfer agents, pricing vendors, auditors, portfolio managers and compliance
- Ability to communicate complex accounting matters to technical and non-technical audiences
What do you need to succeed?Must Have- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years in mutual fund accounting operations and NAV calculations; with people leadership and management experience
- Knowledge of corporate actions, cash management, security lifecycle, derivatives and reconciliation experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and effective communicator
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Macros, advanced formulas, VBA preferred)
Nice to Have- CFA, CIM, CPA equivalent designation
- EAGLE accounting and portfolio management system
- Knowledge of derivatives accounting and alternative investment valuation
- Data analytics tools (Power BI, Python, SQL, PowerQuery) including AI application
- Experience with pricing data applications Bloomberg, Thomson One (LSEG), etc.

Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
