Full Job Description
Overview

We're looking for a builder. Someone who sees a messy spreadsheet and immediately wants to replace it with a script, who reads a manual process doc and asks "why isn't this automated yet," and who is equally comfortable presenting a data model to the engineering team and rolling up their sleeves to resolve a 3PL exception. This role is for the analytically sharp, tech-forward operator who wants broad ownership fast.

You'll own end-to-end fulfillment and inventory operations across Havenly's Owned & Operated (O&O) brands - from inbound receipt through outbound fulfillment and returns. But you're also expected to be a builder: partnering with the data team to create scalable pipelines and dashboards, standing up API integrations between internal systems and vendor platforms, and using AI tools to accelerate everything from root cause analysis to SOP documentation.

This isn't a role where you inherit a well-oiled machine. You'll inherit a real operation with real complexity - and you'll be expected to make it faster, smarter, and more resilient. You'll also help with frontline exceptions, ad hoc tasks, and whatever the team needs day-to-day. No task is beneath you.

Key Responsibilities

Core Operations

  • Own fulfillment execution for O&O brands, ensuring accurate and timely order processing through 3PL partners.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy across NetSuite, 3PL WMS systems, and internal tools, build the monitoring that catches discrepancies before they escalate.
  • Define and hold SLAs from PO placement through inventory availability, returns processing, and order shipment.
  • Own end-to-end returns operations from inbound receipt and condition triage through disposition routing, vendor credits, and recommerce/resale channel execution with a focus on speed, accuracy, and margin recovery.
  • Serve as the escalation point for inventory and fulfillment exceptions and stay hands-on to help resolve them, including frontline tasks when the team needs it.
  • Manage 3PL operational performance with a data-first lens: track trends, identify root causes, and drive accountability through structured reviews.
  • Partner with Planning and Finance on inventory reconciliation, audits, and operational inputs to forecasting and month-end review.
  • Define and support Transfer Order protocols for Studio & Retail locations and required inventory flows for store and showroom locations.
  • Partner with the QC Specialist to align on inbound inspection standards, disposition criteria, and exception escalation protocols ensuring consistent quality outcomes across fulfillment and returns flows.
  • Own functional costs operating P&L's

Technology, Automation & Data

  • Partner with the data engineering and analytics team to design and maintain scalable reporting pipelines, operational dashboards, and real-time alerting.
  • Use AI tools, scripting and workflow automation to streamline exception handling, reporting, and SOP creation.
  • Document and systematize operational processes - turning one-off fixes into repeatable, auditable playbooks.
  • Proactively identify manual or error-prone workflows and propose and execute automations that reduce operational drag.
  • Stay current on emerging supply chain technology, AI tooling, and automation platforms - bring relevant ideas to the table.

Who You Are

  • Analytically wired
  • Tech-forward and naturally curious. You've used AI tools to solve real problems, and you're excited by what's possible when operations and engineering overlap.
  • A builder, not just a maintainer. You see inefficiency and feel compelled to fix it structurally, not just patch it.
  • Scrappy and no-ego. You're as comfortable pulling exception reports at 8am as you are presenting findings to a senior team. No task is too small.
  • A clear communicator. You can translate between operational realities and data or engineering stakeholders, and you write clearly.
  • You don't need 10 years of experience, you need high agency, a sharp mind, and a bias toward action.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, you can pull, manipulate, and interpret data (spreadsheets, SQL, Python, or similar).
  • Real exposure to APIs, automation tools, or scripting to solve operational or data problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail: you follow through, flag issues early, and keep systems clean.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without dropping balls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Shopify, and ERP/WMS/OMS platforms.
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Make, Zapier, Prefect, Airflow, or similar).
  • Exposure to BI/analytics tools (Looker, dbt, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Hands-on use of AI tools (LLMs, AI assistants, or AI-enhanced analytics) to solve business problems.
  • Background in e-commerce, omnichannel retail, or consumer goods.
  • Experience working directly with 3PL partners or in a fulfillment center environment.
  • Experience managing reverse logistics or recommerce workflows, including disposition decision frameworks, resale channel operations, or returns program ownership.

Additional Details

This is a full-time exempt position headquartered in Denver, CO. This role requires travel approximately every other month to 3PL and warehouse partner sites, as well as on-site participation in the annual end-of-year inventory cycle count. Targeted compensation range is dependent upon experience.

Our total rewards package includes competitive compensation, generous PTO, volunteer days off, health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability), 401K, and paid Parental leave. In addition, we offer free design services, furniture discounts, and merchandise credits.
