Your Role on the TeamUnder the general direction of the Director of Finance, the Manager of Financial Services leads the Merage School's Financial Services efforts in the areas of Purchasing, Reimbursements, Disbursements, Contracts, Income/Cash Handling, and Credit Card Processing, including related training, regulatory compliance, process development/improvement, systems, and workflows. Supervises team of financial assistants and student workers, and serves as work lead or project manager. Uses advanced financial services concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Is considered a subject matter expert at the School.
What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired:- Advanced knowledge of financial or accounting concepts, policies and procedures, as well as related accounting and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Advanced skills in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
- May require analytical skills sufficient to develop and implement financial data management and reporting systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across the organization at all levels.
- May require skills in project management, leadership, and process re-design.
- Advanced leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.
- Skills include service orientation, ability to multi-task effectively in a varied, high volume environment; uses sound judgment and decision making, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in an administrative, operational, regulatory compliance, or financial transactions/services role, preferably at a higher education institution. Supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred:- Advanced knowledge of organization and systemwide financial processes and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Special Conditions:- Must pass a background check.
- Hybrid role, but must be able to work onsite as required.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is
$90,600- $100,000 (Annual).
