Full Job Description
Job Summary:

As the Manager, Experience Rating and Refunds, you will manage Experience Rating Refund (ERR) functions and the team to ensure that contract provisions are respected, fiduciary responsibilities are fulfilled, effective controls are maintained, and experience reports are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. In this role, you will utilize metrics to track performance, identify gaps, and adjust work assignments and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction and oversight of ERR activities and the ERR team to develop and maintain efficient and effective workflows to ensure accurate and timely delivery of experience reports, while ensuring that all controls are followed.
  • Review and approve experience reports prepared by team members to ensure that alternative funding arrangements are administered according to contractual provisions.
  • Serve as Administrator of ERR supported source systems and perform routine reconciliation and analysis of information across multiple systems. Investigate discrepancies and implement corrections as appropriate to ensure that refunds/retro premiums are processed correctly. Review and check alternative funding agreements, amendments, and renewal letters.
  • Lead and drive process and technology initiatives to improve productivity, cost savings, and quality. Develop training and cross-training objectives for the team to ensure effectiveness and continuity of work functions.
  • Provide consultative services to internal and external customers as a trusted SME in the ERR space.
  • Partner with stakeholders and provide analytic accounting and system support as needed to meet business needs.


Skills & Background You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, accounting, finance, business or a related field.

Experience:
  • 2 - 5 years related work experience with emphasis in reporting, system reconciliation or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (required)
  • Prior experience with Power BI, SAS, & Python (preferred).

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:
$79,250.00 - $126,750.00
