Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Senior Vice President and providing high-level executive and administrative support. The Manager will act as a liaison between the Senior Vice President (SVP) and both internal and external stakeholders, including staff, Board members, elected officials, members of the press, and the public.

Responsibilities include conducting research, handling information requests, facilitating timely responses to correspondence, coordinating the SVP's daily schedule and travel arrangements, and reviewing personnel actions on behalf of the SVP. The incumbent must identify, delegate, and prioritize critical issues, administer the budget for the SVP's Office, supervise clerical staff, and perform ad-hoc special projects as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President. Streamline, consolidate, and coordinate work produced by various departments to support the SVP toward fulfillment of agency-wide goals and vision.
  • Review operating procedures and implement efficiency improvements where necessary.
  • Act as a central liaison between the Senior Vice President and the executive leadership team.
  • Review incoming correspondence requiring the President's approval/signature and delegate to appropriate staff. Oversee and track all correspondence within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System.
  • Supervise office staff in the performance of administrative and clerical functions, including tracking mail, handling telephone inquiries, and preparing materials for the SVP.
  • Administer the budget for the Senior Vice President's Office. Review authority-wide personnel actions on PeopleSoft on behalf of the SVP and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Coordinate project-based work, attend executive staff meetings, and manage special initiatives and confidential projects simultaneously. Successfully complete critical deliverables with a hands-on approach while strictly adhering to targeted deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:
  1. Baccalaureate or satisfactory equivalent .
  2. Ten (10) years of related professional experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
