How Do You Fit In?

Fabletics is looking for a Manager of Engineering to lead and mentor the engineers on our Product Creation Team that build and maintain our product lifecycle management systems that run our successful ecom business. The ideal candidate will be very hands on with a small team to help lead and guide projects throughout the project lifecycle including tech planning, project management, engineering execution, with strong collaboration and communication with key stakeholders. An agile mindset is a must along with a strong ability to navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and managing your own time while ensuring the teams delivery is smooth, on-time, and high quality.

This position will report to the VP, Software Engineering.

What you will do:
  • Lead team of engineers in technical projects involving enterprise-wide proprietary and third-party software.
  • Provide opportunities and mentor team to advance engineers toward their career goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers in requirement gathering exercises with business stakeholders to provide sound solution architecture feedback.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to refine stories, define roadmaps, and communicate with stakeholders to deliver working systems, tools, and solutions on time, using agile methodologies.
  • Train team in engineering best practices to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and provide dependable customer service, removing obstacles blocking engineers from achieving their tasks where needed.
  • Provide direction to the engineering team in terms of sprint goals, understanding business initiatives behind those goals, and learning the skills required to deliver on those goals.
  • Contribute to the working team by being hands on with the day-to-day engineering efforts.
  • Participate and provide feedback in daily sprint stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Create and manage documentation diagrams of solutions and integrations between systems and tools.
  • Champion adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar agentic coding assistants) across the team, driving measurable gains in delivery speed and code quality.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to apply AI and LLM-based automation to PLM workflows, integrations, and internal tooling, balancing speed of delivery with appropriate human oversight.


What you can bring:
  • 5-7 years of Software Engineering experience, including 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams
  • Experience in building, developing, and managing highly effective engineering teams
  • Experience with distributed systems, multi-tiered application development, service-oriented architecture, and microservice architecture
  • Understanding of REST API, JavaScript, C#, SQL Script; understanding of structure & syntax of HTML, XML, and CSS.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and roadmaps across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to dissect requirements to ensure optimal solutions in our systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation
  • Experience with PLM Systems, notably Centric Software or other Fashion PLM solutions, is a plus (Yunique, PTC FlexPLM, Seimens, DeSL).
  • Experience with enterprise solutions such as ERP, PLM, CRM, SCM, or PIM skills
  • Ideal candidate brings foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) and a track record of driving team-wide adoption.
  • Working knowledge of prompt engineering and agentic/LLM-based AI concepts, with the judgment to evaluate where AI can responsibly accelerate delivery versus where human oversight is required.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $125,000-$160,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate's related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
