What will you be doing?
  • Own the engineering roadmap, standards, lifecycle strategy, and technical direction for end user technology platforms, including endpoints, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, email, print, audio visual, and meeting room technologies.
  • Lead desktop client engineering, including operating system standards, endpoint configuration, device policies, application packaging, endpoint management, automation, and hardware lifecycle planning.
  • Engineer, optimize, and govern Microsoft 365 services, including productivity, collaboration, identity-integrated experiences, email services, policy configuration, feature adoption, and platform modernization.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the end user technology experience by evaluating emerging capabilities, leading proof of concepts, and translating successful pilots into scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Own endpoint patching and vulnerability management engineering practices, ensuring secure, measurable, and repeatable remediation processes in partnership with Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams.
  • Define and maintain engineering standards for collaboration, email, printing, audio visual, and meeting room services to ensure reliability, usability, supportability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, reference architectures, configuration baselines, design patterns, and lifecycle plans for end user platforms and services.
  • Partner with End User Operations and the Service Desk to ensure engineered solutions are operationally supportable, well documented, and supported by clear knowledge articles, escalation paths, and service readiness materials.
  • Act as the technical owner and escalation partner for complex end user engineering issues, identifying root causes and implementing permanent engineering improvements.
  • Establish strong vendor and partner relationships to evaluate technology direction, influence roadmaps, manage technical performance, and maximize value from end user technology investments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand productivity, collaboration, and workplace technology needs, and convert them into practical engineering solutions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of end user computing, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, security, and workplace technology trends, and apply that knowledge to improve the enterprise user experience.
  • Define and report on engineering health, adoption, technical debt, patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, platform reliability, and end user experience metrics.
  • Develop the engineering team's technical capability, delivery discipline, and innovation mindset to support growth within the broader IT organization.

What experience do you have?
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in IT, with progressive responsibility in end user computing, endpoint engineering, Microsoft 365, collaboration, infrastructure, or workplace technology environments, including a minimum of 3 years leading technical teams, engineering functions, or platform ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint management and desktop client engineering, including Windows operating systems, device configuration, application deployment, hardware standards, lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, endpoint security, and compliance management.
