Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Global Media operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).

Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

ROLE: Manager, Editorial Newsletters

The Manager, Editorial Newsletters runs newsletter production across the A+E portfolio of sites including History.com, A&E and Lifetime. They are the company's expert on what it takes to develop an effective and engaged newsletter audience, helping to both build big long-term strategies and execute small daily details. They will work across editorial teams to create newsletters that engage current and future A+E fans and meet all industry standards. This role resides with the Digital Media team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manager, Editorial Newsletters
  • Develop and manage newsletter production strategies and processes to ensure timely and effective delivery of editorial newsletters
  • Collaborate with content teams to curate newsletters that align with content priorities, brand guidelines, and best practices.
  • Monitor newsletter performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement. Regularly communicate performance and insights to the broader teams.
  • Collaborate with design to manage template module set; create and edit responsive HMTL/CSS email templates as needed.
  • Oversee push notifications production
  • Manage partners and lead relationships with external agencies and vendors
  • Lead the execution of new email personalization plan to drive improvement in subscriber engagement.
  • Find and recommend ways to innovate and grow our email program.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Manager, Editorial Newsletters
  • 5+ years of experience managing editorial newsletters
  • Knowledge of key email newsletters fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Iterable and other newsletter platforms, as well as understanding of Content Management Systems and Digital Editorial production
  • Have a strong knowledge of HTML & CSS and how it applies to email, including the ability to troubleshoot & resolve rendering issues across email clients & platforms.
  • You are very data-driven, and champion the importance of data in decision making.
  • Understand operational workflows for newsletter production and work to identify ways to streamline for efficiencies
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working across various brands with unique editorial guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Airtable and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.


Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $102,564 - $120,000

Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
