What you'll be doingThe Compliance and EAML Examination Program (CEEP) team is a specialized group within the Compliance Department, comprising several multi-skilled examination teams, including the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Examination team. This team is responsible for executing compliance examinations across various Lines of Business (LOBs), with the objective of independently assessing the design and operating effectiveness of management's control environment and adherence to regulatory requirements, such as those outlined in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and its associated Regulations (PCMLTFR). As the Manager, EAML Examinations, reporting to the Director, EAML Examinations, you will be responsible for conducting compliance testing of CIBC businesses and activities in accordance with the CEEP methodology. Your role will ensure adherence to CIBC's Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing, and Sanctions Policy requirements, associated standards and guidelines, relevant sections of applicable laws and regulations, and any directives issued by FINTRAC or other regulatory bodies. The Manager, EAML Examinations will possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, as well as knowledge of CIBC's lines of business, Governance Groups, and Oversight Functions.

- Reporting - Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the LOB examined, detailing findings, ratings, and recommended remedial actions to address identified issues.
Who you are- Experienced Professional. You have demonstrated experience leading examinations, audits, or compliance reviews. Proficiency in AML/ATF and Sanctions-related legislation and regulations is required. Experience with testing AML/ATF controls and methodologies is highly advantageous.
- Educational Background. You hold a University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of three years in the financial, compliance, or audit industry.
- Certified Professional. You maintain current accreditation and good standing with ACAMS, ACFCS, CPA, or CIA.
- Data-Driven. You enjoy investigating complex problems and are confident in communicating detailed information effectively, including through data analysis. You apply critical thinking and reasoned judgment to reach sound conclusions.
