As a trusted advisor, you will enable clients to take a proactive approach to understanding their existing capabilities and assist in operationalizing privacy management programs, end-to-end, as part of digital transformation strategies that focus on Data use enablement, Data risk mitigation, Privacy by Design, Data Governance and Protection as well as responding to regulatory changes.
Responsibilities- Deliver industry and technical expertise in privacy through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and the creation of high-quality deliverables
- Responsible for delivery of privacy services to clients such as:
- Privacy program maturity assessments and roadmaps,
- Privacy program design, implementation, and automation,
- Privacy impact assessments of new solutions or business processes,
- Provide advisory on implementation of privacy by design on digital solutions (AI/ML, cloud, IoT, Data analytics),
- Development of AI Governance and risk assessment processes/ organization models
- Data classification and controls framework definition,
- Data mapping and inventories,
- Periodic reviews of applicable privacy policies in light of changes to laws, rules, regulations, and organizational policies
- Data use governance and ethics,
- Development of AI Governance and responsible AI frameworks, risk assessment criteria and processes
- Development and delivery of privacy training,
- Assisting in development of privacy audit plans and execution (IA, SOC),
- Privacy breach response.
- Lead delivery of client services/projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating engagements and teams.
- Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality, and deadlines
- Maintain high-quality controls by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members in a timely basis
- Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status
- Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value and bring in new services to address client needs
- Build trusted advisor relationships with our clients
- Network and take a leadership role in the local professional, business and community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes (AI, automation, etc)
- Assist in the recruiting, coaching, development, and training of team members to build a high performing team
- Contribute/lead business and practice development, proposals, marketing material, internal and external presentations, blogging and/or white paper development
Skills and Experience- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about helping clients innovate with data while maintaining customer's trust and compliance with legislation
- Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, privacy, business, technology, data analytics or law or a related field
- IAPP certification (s) such as CIPP/C, CIPT, CIPM, and/or other related certifications.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in delivering privacy services to clients
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience defining and implementing privacy services & solutions in an advisory capacity
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of privacy principles, frameworks, and legislation such as Privacy by Design, GAPP, Fair information principles, PIPEDA, GDPR, CASL, HIPAA, CCPA, PHIPA, FOI, CASL, AI Frameworks.
- Experience with Creating and Delivering Privacy Services (i.e., Regulatory readiness, Programs definition, implementation and automation, Data Protection strategy and implementation, Data Use Governance and Ethics, Privacy by Design for new technologies, Privacy Audits, AI Governance and Responsible AI Frameworks, etc.)
- Understanding of security and governance frameworks, such as ISO 27001/2, NIST, PCI and COBIT would be an asset
- Experience with privacy enhancing technologies and automation tools (Consent & user preference management, encryption, anonymization, remote audit, monitoring compliance, data discovery, data flows and inventories, PIA, etc.)
- Experience with developing and delivering presentations to clients on final deliverables.
- Business development experience including identification of client needs, development of proposals, work effort and timelines, negotiations with clients.
- Passionate about helping develop team members, coach and mentor and growing and high leading teams
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
- Security Clearance is considered an asset
- Some travel required

This is a current opportunity with an ideal hiring range of between $115,000 and $145,000 depending on skills and experience.
