About the Role We are hiring a Manager to develop and lead cross-cutting culture and communications initiatives touching various parts of the employee experience. To get a sense of the breadth: on any given week, the Manager might be running point on a company town hall, partnering with critical talent on talent recognition applications, bringing in the next guest into our Distinguished Speaker Series, building out training to help the company understand our culture, evolving our culture tools - especially given the advancement of AI. Few roles put you in the room for this many different parts of how Bridgewater works.
It's also a rare developmental opportunity: because the work is company-wide by design, the Manager will build relationships with stakeholders across every part of the firm and get exposure to how Bridgewater thinks about its business, its people, and itself - experience that is hard to come by this early in a career.
Responsibilities - Own a portfolio of Culture & Internal Communications' goals - identifying opportunities, autonomously visualizing the plan (requirements, dependencies, KPIs), and orchestrating the processes necessary to meet our highest priorities
- Depending on team needs, take on direct management of a team member - providing clarity on priorities, holding a high standard for their work, and supporting their growth
- Partner with stakeholders across the firm to design, execute, and improve company-wide initiatives - spanning communications, two-way dialogue forums, transparency, brand, talent recognition, or culture tools and training, depending on where the need is greatest
- Manage stakeholder relationships across the firm to visualize and execute cross-functional and firm-wide initiatives with operational excellence and rigor
- Bring a builder's mindset to our culture tools and how we train the company on our culture, including exploring how AI can make that work sharper and more effective
- Develop insights to facilitate culture- and employee experience-related decision-making through sourcing and analyzing internal and external data
- Design compelling materials for various audiences - including senior leaders - to create clarity around how complex problems are approached and key indicators of progress
- Drive and utilize stakeholder feedback for actionable insight, and develop recommendations for evolution based on findings
Minimum Qualifications - Integrity, precision, and care in handling sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various departments
- Exceptional communication abilities - able to communicate crisply and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees including senior leadership
- Genuine curiosity around AI - comfort experimenting with new technology to work smarter and drive creative solutions for the team and the company
- Ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment with flexibility and agility to pivot based on new inputs or shifting priorities
- Experience keeping complex, ambiguous, multi-phased projects on track; strong organizational skills and a commitment to reliably meeting deadlines independently
- Proven track record of strong process management skills with experience driving change in organizations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel, or strong analytical, consulting, and project management skills
- Interest and/or previous work experience in culture, communications, or other people-related functions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5-7 years in a program or project management-type position
Physical Requirements For at least the next 12 months, the anticipated onsite requirement for this role is three days per week, split between our New York City and Westport, CT campuses.
Compensation The wage range for this role is $250,000 - $450,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary is between 80-90% of this range.
