The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, including review, negotiation, administration, and compliance, with a focus on government and commercial agreements in support of company operations. This role works closely with internal stakeholders - including Legal, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and senior leadership - as well as external customers and suppliers to identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (including FAR and DFARS), maintain accurate records, and facilitate effective contract execution and performance.
What You'll Do As a Contracts Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Review, analyze, and interpret purchase orders, terms and conditions, contracts, statements of work (SOWs), non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other contractual documents to understand obligations and identify potential risks
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and compliance risks in alignment with company guidelines, policies, legal requirements, and customer or supplier specifications
- Prepare, complete, and submit supplier and customer certifications, representations, and other required documentation
- Coordinate internal reviews and approvals at appropriate levels, escalating issues to the FDH General Counsel as needed for guidance or final sign-off
- Maintain, organize, and update contract files, records, and databases to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.
- Communicate and present contract-related information, status updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders across departments and levels of seniority
- Collaborate and coordinate closely with FDH General Counsel and other cross-functional teams to support contract strategy, negotiations, issue resolution, and overall compliance
- Support contract administration activities, including monitoring performance, processing modifications/amendments, tracking deliverables, and facilitating closeouts
- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant government contracting requirements
- Assist in responding to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), or other solicitations by providing contractual input and risk analysis under guidance from Legal
- Contribute to process improvements in contract management practices to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support business objectives
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in contract management, paralegal work, or a related contracts/compliance role
- Demonstrated understanding of Government contracting regulations, including FAR and DFARS
- Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
