Permanent Full Time

Reporting to the AVP, Corporate Communications, you'll drive the execution of thought leadership initiatives that strengthen Canada Life's reputation and support business priorities. Working closely with colleagues across Communications, Brand, Digital and Marketing, you will help shape and amplify executive voices, deliver integrated campaigns, and ensure consistent messaging across audiences and channels.

What you will do

  • Guide the development and implementation of thought leadership research and campaigns that advance Canada Life's strategic priorities and reputation.
  • Establish positioning pillars and messaging frameworks for executive voices, ensuring consistency across channels and audiences.
  • Participate in a cross-functional editorial council to prioritize topics, accelerate activities and sequence campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with Canada Life's corporate objectives.
  • Support the role of executives in delivering thought leadership campaigns across audiences and channels.
  • Develop compelling content for thought leadership platforms, including executive articles, opinion pieces, reports, blogs, social content and other strategic communications assets.
  • Lead the development of speeches, presentations and executive remarks for senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Brand, Digital, Marketing and Communications to drive an integrated, multi-channel distribution strategy.


What you will bring

  • Experience executing executive communications and strategic communications programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content for thought leadership platforms.
  • Exceptional speechwriting and executive writing skills, with experience developing speeches, presentations and key messages for senior executives.
  • Experience briefing and providing strategic communications counsel to senior leaders and executives is an asset.
  • Video and podcast production experience is an asset.
  • Experience creating messaging frameworks, positioning strategies and integrated communications plans.
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset.


The base salary for this position is between $84,700 - $134,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
