Communications Manager

Toronto

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be a skilled communications professional with the experience and craft to own Trisura's internal and external communications function across North America. This is a newly created role with real scope: you will be responsible for planning and managing our internal and external communications, developing content across leadership and corporate channels, and ensuring Trisura's brand voice is expressed with consistency and discipline across every audience.

As an integral member of the team, you will bring:
  • Exceptional writing ability across formats, registers, and audiences
  • Experience developing leadership and corporate communications across internal and external channels
  • Strong editorial discipline and the ability to manage multiple communications streams simultaneously
  • A structured approach to internal communications planning and content development
  • Sound judgment in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration


Responsibilities include:
  • Develop and manage leadership and corporate communications across internal and external audiences, ensuring content is aligned with Trisura's brand voice and strategic priorities.
  • Review and approve communication materials developed by internal stakeholders and external agency partners, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Trisura's brand positioning.
  • Own Trisura's internal communications program, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and connected to the company's strategy and culture.
  • Partner with People and Culture on employee recognition, culture moments, and milestone communications that reflect Trisura's values.
  • Develop thought leadership content for external audiences, including bylined articles, speaking notes, and industry channel content.
  • Contribute to media selection and channel strategy, identifying the right platforms, publications, and formats to reach target audiences.
  • Assist with planning and execution of marketing campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Support Trisura's growing US market presence through targeted content and communications materials for broker and MGA audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners to develop high-quality communications materials across digital, print, and event channels.
  • Develop a reporting system to measure engagement and provide a summary of all the various activities & campaigns across all channels.


Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of experience in a communications, content, or corporate communications role, ideally within financial services, insurance, or professional services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple editorial streams simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with internal communications platforms and email marketing tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver outputs that meet business objectives.
  • Bilingual English and French is an asset.

Salary:

  • The expected salary in this position is within the range of $110,000 - $128,000


This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
