What is the opportunity?

In this role (Manager, Business Planning), you will support the Associate Director of Business Planning and work with Investor Services Client Operation business lines to deliver financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and financial planning. You will play an active role in identifying, analyzing, and addressing financial opportunities for RBC Investor Services.

What will you do?
  • Analyze RBC Investor Services' Client Operations financials through tactical and strategic deep-dive reviews ensuring integrity of financial data. Communicate findings after analyzing trends and drivers.
  • Support RBC Investor Services' Client Operations monthly financial and operational reviews, including the maintenance of analytical models and presentations.
  • Drive transparency and effective financial management with a focus on controllable cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Elevate advisory support by providing data-enabled insights to our stakeholders to support strategic and timely decision making.
  • Support RBC Investor Services' Client Operations Weekly Head Count reporting and requisitions process.
  • Support RBC Investor Services' Client Operation financial planning processes, including the creation of analytical models and presentations.
  • Collaborate with RBC Investor Services' Client Operation Business lines and other stakeholders in the documentation of policy and procedures for operational reporting, processes, and other key activities.
  • Automate and streamline internal processes and reports where possible to create efficiencies.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly
  • Familiar with using PowerBI


Nice-to-have:
  • Professional accounting/ finance designation (CPA, CFA, or MBA)
  • Proven experience developing PowerBI dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Previous financial planning experience
  • Excel Modeling

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
