Summary

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, motivate and coach staff to fulfill departmental performance goals while also encouraging employee growth and engagement
• Lead / assist continuous improvement activities relating to collections that drive improved timeliness, accuracy, compliance and discipline
• Support team with conflict resolution on aging accounts and help formulate collection strategies
• Assist with establishing targets for key metrics and effectively support the team to meet or exceed these targets
• Develop business relationships with internal and external customers to secure their support in minimizing financial risks and facilitate dispute resolution
• Monitor collections performance according to quality and productivity standards
• Oversee credit adjudication process

Critical Qualifications
• Degree in business administration, finance, mathematics, or CPA Accounting designation (or in the process of completing designation)
• 3+ years' experience working in a collections environment managing a group of 10+ employees
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation skills) and ability to influence stakeholders
• Analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Requirements

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
