Full Job Description
We're looking for a strategic and people-focused Benefits Manager to lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of our benefits and recognition programs. In this role, you'll help create a rewarding employee experience by ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with the evolving needs of our workforce.
As a trusted partner to HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll play a key role in shaping benefits strategies that support business objectives, strengthen employee engagement, and help us attract and retain top talent. Centuri is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. We are also open to considering qualified remote candidates located within the United States.
What You'll Do
• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, leave programs, and voluntary benefits
• Partner with brokers and vendors to evaluate plan performance, manage renewals, and identify opportunities for cost containment and program optimization
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Oversee the administration of HRIS benefits modules and related processes
• Maintain accurate documentation to support public company audits and regulatory compliance requirements
• Manage benefits-related reporting, including EEO, ACA reporting, and other required filings
• Stay informed on evolving laws, regulations, and market trends that impact benefits programs
• Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted resource on benefits matters
• Provide guidance, support, and training to HR partners and people leaders
• Lead employee education and communication initiatives that promote understanding and engagement with benefits programs
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
• 5+ years of experience in benefits or total rewards roles, including 2+ years of team leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required
• CBP (Certified Benefits Professional), CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist), or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Experience designing and/or administering employee benefit programs
• Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration tools
• Experience in a mid-sized or large organization preferred
• Experience working in a public company environment and managing legal, regulatory, reporting, and filing requirements

Work Environment
