Position OverviewThis is an open and continuous recruitment which will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days and close without notice once a sufficient pool of highly-qualified candidates has been created.The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Benefits and Well-Being Manager in the Department of Human Resources. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general direction, provides strategic leadership for comprehensive employee benefits and well-being programs that serve as the foundation for a competitive employee benefits package and long-term benefits strategy, while supervising professional staff and serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership; and performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional-level experience administering employee benefit programs or other complementary human resources functions, including at least two years of supervisory, management, or program-lead responsibility
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
- Desirable: Certification as an Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP)
- Desirable: Certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA)
- Desirable: Experience with financial modeling and analysis
