Full Job Description
Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking a Manager, Audit to join our Vancouver office. The successful candidate will report to the Partners and will be a career-focused individual that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm. This individual will be an integral part of our continued growth.

The Role
  • Manage and review audit, review, compilation and tax engagements independently and effectively.
  • Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE). Knowledge of Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) an asset.
  • Review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns, as well as GST, T4 and T5 filings, delegating tasks where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of clients' industry, marketplace, business trends and technical developments, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities, deadlines and client expectations.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving accounting and tax issues in collaboration with Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Delegating effectively to all staff levels while providing guidance and training to staff members to support their career development.
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Promote high employee engagement and consistently deliver an excellent client experience.
  • Mentor and coach senior and staff accountants.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop practical, value-added solutions.
  • Support clients and staff with general questions related to accounting, taxation, operations and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to business development by building relationships with clients and through community involvement.


What You Will Bring
  • CPA designation (or legacy CA, CMA, CGA);
  • 3+ years of post-designation public practice experience;
  • Prior experience in the industries our firm currently supports considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities;
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounting standards;
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills;
