Peet's Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster and retailer headquartered in Emeryville, California. The company was founded in 1966 by Alfred Peet in Berkeley, California. Peet was an early tea authority who later became widely recognized as the grandfather of specialty coffee in the United States. Peet's Coffee offers freshly roasted beans, brewed coffee and espresso drinks, as well as a variety of pastries, sandwiches, and other food items. The company operates more than 200 stores in the United States and abroad.
