Full Job Description
Purpose of Position

The Manager, Aircraft Maintenance provides leadership and direction to the Repair Station Management and employee teams, ensuring the safe and compliant execution of all aircraft maintenance activities, component repairs, contract maintenance and line service operations in accordance with federal, local and company regulations and guidelines. The Manager completes administrative work, reports and conducts meetings associated with the operation of the NJS Repair Station. The Manager is responsible for the ensuring employees operate within the rules of the collective bargaining agreement and resolves issues directly with local union representation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to a team of management personnel, technicians and line service employees in the execution of maintenance, fueling and cleaning activities at the NJS Repair Station in CMH as well as Field Service maintenance teams dispatched across the country. Monitors and analyzes Repair Station metrics to ensure target performance goals are met for the Repair Station.Coordinates with internal and external customers to get maintenance work orders completed on schedule and promptly communicates issues that will impact the schedule to the customer.
  • Responsible for the safety of Repair Station employees and aircraft by monitoring work activity and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations as prescribed by the FAA, DOT, OSHA, EPA and company policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring Repair Station Certificate compliance with all policies and procedures as outlined in the NJS part 145 Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Repair Station Training Manual, Line Service Manual, NJA General Maintenance Manual and Company Policy manuals.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external customers and vendors. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and best practices in order to implement efficiencies in the Repair Station operations. Manages projects as assigned by the General Manager to ensure on-time completion and execution through the use of 5s principles. Performs performance evaluations and coaching to develop the management team to full potential.
    Handles administrative duties for employees to include payroll recordkeeping, time off requests, training needs, etc.. Coaches and disciplines employees for violations of Company and CBA rules. Assures personnel issues are handled through coordination with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Leave of Absence, other NetJets departments and Repair Station leadership. Works with union stewards to resolve contract issues and improve labor relationships.
  • Ensures that the NJS FBO services run efficiently and safely at all times when the FBO Supervisor is not on duty to include Aircraft Fueling, De-ice, Towing and Aircraft Cleaning operations. This includes assignment of work to NJS FBO employees and monitoring of work activities

  • Remain in compliance with the driving record requirements outlined in the Vehicle Safety Program.
