Protect the technical integrity and operational safety of our nation's frontline aircraft. In this vital role, you will manage configuration baselines, data integrity, and strict change control for elite Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, hardware, and firmware-ensuring the warfighter always flies with secure, traceably tested, and mission-ready systems.

- Guard the Virtual Cockpit: Directly support the development, deployment, and sustainment of the flight software (OFP) and hardware that controls our military's primary weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Critical Baselines: Define, track, and maintain the absolute integrity of software, hardware, firmware, and systems engineering products throughout their lifecycle.
- Rigorous Change Control: Manage strict change control pipelines to ensure weapon system updates are safely, securely, and traceably deployed without impacting airworthiness.
- Data Integrity Management: Ensure all software releases and technical data packages are audited, complete, and fully aligned with military and engineering standards.
- Flight Program Support: Partner with software developers and engineers to deliver high-quality OFP software and hardware modifications designed to survive the modern battlespace.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- Work may occasionally require overtime or compensatory time
- Work requires the possession of an appropriate security clearance or the ability to be granted the appropriate security clearance.
- Work may occasionally need to be performed on the swing or graveyard shift
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of configuration, data, engineering data management, and deficiency reporting requirements as specified in military specifications and standards, and organizational directives.
2. Knowledge of engineering drawings and contractor engineering control/release processes, and tracking systems such as PLM systems.
3. Understanding of contractor estimating/pricing techniques as related to proposal evaluation.
4. Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of communication, negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts in contracting, engineering data/data management, and audits.
5. Knowledge of the Organizational structure and contractor operations and familiarity with the various management and technical disciplines involved to sufficiently understand technical and procurement terminology and procedures.
6. Ability to plan, organize and chair conferences and meetings.
7. Skill in developing corrective actions for observed discrepancies.
8. Familiarity with policies and issues pertaining to priority rights in data.
