Managed Cloud Services Offering Manager, Hyperscaler – Hybrid | Cary, North Carolina

SAS Managed Cloud Services (MCS) provides hosting services for SAS products in a private cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) with dedicated expert service and support. Customers chose MCS for our proven expertise, exceptional performance, platform flexibility, 24x7x365 support and cost effectiveness. Today MCS is one of the fastest growth areas at SAS.

As the MCS Offering Manager for Hyperscalers, you will be responsible for managing our public cloud foundation for all SAS managed cloud offerings. Unlike a traditional Product Manager focused on software features, the MCS Offering Manager owns the end-to-end service lifecycle of SAS managed cloud solutions, including service design, packaging, pricing, operational readiness, compliance, customer experience, and ongoing service improvement.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, cloud operations, product development, and customer success, ensuring SAS managed cloud offerings are innovative, scalable, secure, and aligned with both customer needs and business goals. The Offering Manager partners cross-functionally with Product Strategy, R&D, Cloud Architecture, Cloud Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and regional delivery teams to ensure offerings meet market demand and deliver measurable business value. The Offering Manager is instrumental in driving transformation through the Viya platform, industry solutions and related third party technologies, while enabling global consistency through communities of practice, standardized delivery playbooks, and continual service optimization. This is a highly strategic role requiring a balance of market insight, technical understanding, service design expertise, and business acumen.

As a Managed Cloud Services Offering Manager for Hyperscalers, you will:

  • Owns the end-to-end Managed Cloud Services Offering lifecycle for all foundational components of a public cloud provider. For instance, hosting locations, standard SKUs for compute, storage, network, cloud native leveraged services, and much more. This includes supporting the inception, design, launch, operations, and continuous improvement.
  • Owns the first customer ready minimum requirements for initial launch
  • Drives feature parity of core functionality across different hyperscales and hosting platforms.
  • Responsible for defining, maintaining, communicating and enablement of non-MCS teams into the customer environments. This includes tools, RBAC that can be used by PSD, CA, TS, etc..
  • Develop close relationship with different hyperscalers looking for ways of integrating new elements and components into the offerings, including identifying of cost savings items.
  • Maintains oversight of available data centers and features used by the MCS offerings.
  • Contributes to defining and prioritizing offering requirements using market data and research, customer feedback, input from SAS industry leaders and other SMEs.
  • Supports development and maintenance of offering roadmaps in alignment with SAS business goals and related product roadmaps.
  • Assists in evaluating technical feasibility and integration needs, partnering with R&D, Cloud Operations, and Product Strategy.
  • Participates in customer engagements (briefings, reviews, feedback sessions) to capture insights and validate offering direction.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and regional teams to support offering readiness, execution and eventually offer launch.
  • Contributes to pricing, packaging, positioning, and sales enablement materials for managed cloud offerings.
  • Monitors post-launch performance, collaborating with operational teams to drive incremental improvements.
  • Supports compliance alignment by coordinating with Security, Legal, and regional regulatory teams.
  • Supports the launch of new managed cloud offerings, ensuring readiness across product, operations, support, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Tracks offering KPIs such as adoption, customer satisfaction, and operational performance, providing insights to senior leaders.
  • Leads offering roadmap development and influences product strategy to ensure managed cloud needs are represented in the product lifecycle.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Product Management, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Consulting, Managed Cloud Services, or related function in the technology industry, preferably including product management.
  • Strong understanding of hyperscale cloud platforms, SaaS, Managed Services, XaaS models, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, build business cases, and define KPIs for offering success.
  • Experience influencing product strategy, ensuring managed cloud requirements shape the SASs product development lifecycle.
  • Experience defining pricing models, packaging strategies, and go-to-market frameworks for cloud offerings.
  • Deep understanding of cloud service architecture, managed cloud delivery models, and cross-product integrations.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
