Siemens Buildings is looking for a
Maintenance & Test Engineering Manager to lead and integrate maintenance, test engineering, and equipment support activities within the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, reliable test processes, strong technical support for production, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance & Test Engineering Manager will partner closely with Operations, Production Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, strengthen test capabilities, and support safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing operations.
As a Maintenance & Test Engineering Manager, you will: - Lead the Maintenance and Test Engineering teams, ensuring clear priorities, accountability, and alignment with site operational goals.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve overall equipment reliability.
- Manage test engineering support for manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting, test station performance, fixture readiness, software/hardware support, and production issue resolution.
- Monitor, analyze, and proactively improve key operational metrics such as equipment downtime, maintenance response time, test yield, first-pass yield, recurring failures, and production interruptions.
- Drive structured problem-solving and root cause analysis for equipment, process, and test-related issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Partner with Operations, Production Engineering, Quality, and Product Engineering to support new product introductions, process changes, equipment upgrades, and manufacturing readiness.
- Establish and maintain standard work, escalation processes, maintenance plans, spare parts strategy, and equipment documentation to improve team efficiency and consistency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, test process stability, productivity, safety, and cost reduction.
- Support capital equipment planning, installation, qualification, and lifecycle management in alignment with business needs and site strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members by building technical capability, strengthening ownership, improving communication, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in maintenance, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or technical operations within a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to demonstrate:
- Leadership experience, including managing technical teams, developing talent, delegating effectively, and driving performance
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, test systems, troubleshooting methods, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis
- Ability to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and implement sustainable process improvements
- Experience supporting production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into clear action plans
- Proactive, accountable leader with strong project execution skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to communicate technical topics clearly to operators, engineers, and leadership
- Available to work on-site, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support urgent operational needs when required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading both maintenance and test engineering functions in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, and controls systems
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, test fixtures, electrical test equipment, functional test systems, and manufacturing software tools
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with SAP, CMMS systems, maintenance planning tools, Power BI, or other data analytics platforms
- Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout, equipment risk assessments, and manufacturing compliance requirements
- Experience supporting capital projects, equipment installations, process validations, and new product introductions

The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
