Full Job Description

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will directly oversee the maintenance technician team, and provide support to the team on necessary training, parts and tools to develop their technical, mechanical, and electrical skillsets to maintain the site’s equipment.  You will be the coordinator of the maintenance leads and technicians to the assigned and situational work across the site and is the leader providing a productive work culture and environment to the team to achieve the objectives of the Maintenance organization. This is an onsite position at our Cambridge facility.  You will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel in a unionized environment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, TPM, and lean manufacturing practices.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.

  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.

  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.

  • Support capital projects and equipment installations as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.

  • Certified Trade: Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal preferred).

  • 5+ years of lead technician experience or in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting is an asset.

  • Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. 

  • Strong understanding of unionized work environments and labor relations. 

  • Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley preferred). 

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo). 

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments and industries (e.g. automotive, aerospace, chemical, medical devices, pharmaceuticals).

  • Technical knowledge on the following systems and equipment: Facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Electric Power distribution, compressed air, water, sewer and other plant utilities), Ovens, other processing equipment (conveyors, machining, mixers, sanders, saws, etc.), and clean room environments.

  • Knowledge of PLC controls and Robots applications and maintenance, SCADA and MES systems.

  • Demonstrated success in implementing 5S, lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies. 

  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong leadership with a growth-oriented approach to team development and problem-solving. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.

Salary Range is between $85K - $105K/year plus annual bonus.
