Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot issues based on machine cycle sequences.
  • Perform electrical tests on equipment.
  • Interpret complex schematics, manuals, and testing procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair defective printed circuit assemblies.

Full Job Description
Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC)- 2nd shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $40.51/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
  • Need a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode)
  • Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
  • Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
  • Perform electrical test operations.
  • Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
  • Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
  • Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
  • Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.


Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.

  • 5 years of experience in NC and CNC repair

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of PLC experience in troubleshooting
  • Journeyman certification or educational equivalent
  • Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required
