  • $107,887 - $153,850 (please note that this is an estimate and actual pay will vary depending on experience, qualifications, and professional certifications.)


Responsibilities

  • Asset & Maintenance Excellence: Ensure physical assets are properly maintained and upgraded, with effective inventory control to optimize reliability and cost.
  • Strategic & Financial Accountability: Lead maintenance and CHP budgeting, cost management, and long-range planning while meeting spend and performance targets.
  • Maintenance Strategy & Reliability: Drive efficient maintenance strategies and audit work quality to continuously improve asset reliability and effectiveness.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, coach, and mentor Maintenance and CHP teams with clear expectations, KPIs, goals, and development plans.
  • Safety Leadership & Culture: Role model safety standards, enforce procedures, promote a compassionate and autonomous safety culture, and support JHSC commitments.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Champion CI initiatives, standardize work processes, and embed accountability for sustaining improvements across the plant.
  • Operational Readiness & Growth: Anticipate and address challenges related to plant start-ups and expansions to ensure operational success.
  • Employee Engagement & Morale: Create pathways for engagement, build strong employee relations, and foster a positive, high-performance team environment.
  • Communication & Influence: Communicate effectively across functions and with senior leadership, reporting results, risks, gaps, and improvement plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or technical leadership experience in paper or similar industry.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in tissue/paper manufacturing is an asset.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety while maintaining a strong customer and consumer focus.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach maintenance/facilities teams, build strong cross-functional relationships, and work effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and independent working abilities, thriving in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, with experience in budgeting, strategic planning, and business execution.
