Job Description

Leading project teams to optimize the overall quality and/or productivity of any process performed within any department in the facility (improving quality, productivity, reducing overall costs, and leading the Development Department, while serving as mentor and advisor to our overall teams.

Responsibilities

Identify through data analysis, work required in critical areas to drive improvement and efficiencies (i.e., initiatives/processes that will reduce waste) while provide recommendations on process improvements.

Visit the production floor, to investigate issues with the subject matter experts (SME) to assist in resolution (troubleshooting). Responsible for the oversight of the Development Department and OPEX Department.

Bench-mark best practices with industry leading competitors and internal manufacturing plants to assist in new process implementation and providing recommendations to facilitate transitions or improve efficiencies.

Customer contact includes troubleshooting quality complaints, responding to various inquiries and customer visits as required (reviewing product cuttings).

Create processes to improve productivity, while reducing plant waste.

Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Production and Planner/Scheduler on special projects as required.

Current and future plant equipment and processes

Optimize current operational processes

Recommend strategic equipment improvements

Conceptualize, influence and implement industry leading best practices as a result of research and analysis.
