Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance work orders efficiently.
  • Conduct workplace inspections for safety compliance, GMP violations, and equipment functionality.

Full Job Description
Job Overview: Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for directly managing a team of technically skilled staff within the Maintenance department, providing dynamic hands-on leadership and skilled problem solving who can continually develop the capabilities of their team while working with vendors and key internal stakeholders. The role's main priority will be to support Give & Go's long-term plan (LTP), through the creation and delivery of the department's strategic initiatives on time. Key Responsibilities: • Aid in the creation and contribution to the Company's LTP expectations through the leading and execution of maintenance projects, such as through the sourcing and supervising of contractors/suppliers to engage in program support • Support Maintenance Cost Containment objectives by tracking the department budget and approving capital projects when necessary • Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team, including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure employees have the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet departments and agreed-upon objectives of the company • Manage the completion of Corrective and Backlog WO and PM WO by effectively scheduling maintenance team, taking advantage of any work stoppage • Conduct workplace inspection in area of responsibility for safety, GMP violations, production line and equipment Recipe for Success: • Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field preferred • Minimum 7 years of prior maintenance managerial experience in a production-manufacturing environment (within food services/baking a strong asset) • Holds a valid Ontario Millwright or Electrician license (P.Eng and/or PMP a strong asset) • Excellent problem solving with strong troubleshooting skills • Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components • Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System • Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance and Plant Equipment • Project management skill with capability of scoping the work and work break down analysis • Strength to stay on top of the Breakdown/downtime or any other issue until being resolved (initiate RCA) • Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources • Computer-savvy; holds practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point) • Multitasked in an evolving environment with lots of changes in direction based on business requirement • Holding strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills • Understanding of Maintenance programs, such as knowledge regarding reliability centered maintenance, TPM, etc. What we can offer: • It's an exciting time to be part of the Give & Go team as we are growing rapidly and want you to become a part our growth and extraordinarily bright future. • As we grow, we are committed to preserve the parts of our diversity & culture that is unique, people focused and are core to our success at every size.
