1. Gathering business and technical requirements
2. Coding, Unit testing and Implementation in Mainframe Technologies.
3. Creating mainframe modules by using COBOL, CICS, DB2, standard APIs, and IBM Messaging Queues to move the data
4. As part of Application Modernization, analyzing existing COBOL processes using IBM RDz tool, creating process flow diagrams in Microsoft Visio and present it to business and architects to come up with the modernized architecture
5. Writing Java & DB2 stored procedures, development of database scripts, triggering, review test cases / test procedures, unit / regression / integration testing of converted load module.
6. Creating functional and technical documentation for regulatory projects to be executed in legacy systems.
7. Provide the technical assistance from design and development standpoint.
8. Perform Onsite / Offshore coordination for Legacy analysis, service developments.
9. Provide support for User Acceptance Testing and Deployment.
11. Planning and reviews of maintenance requests and small enhancements.
12. Participate in design reviews and code walk through and provide valuable suggestions to improve the code standards or stop the defects spill over into production.
13. Review and approve of the offshore Deliverables.
14. Daily status report during development phase.

Experience: 5-8 Years.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
