Essential Technical Skills- 5+ years of experience with Natural and Adabas (statements, syntax, procedural programming)
- 5+ years of experience coding and debugging Natural programs and maps using Software AG editors and utilities
- 3+ years of experience with JCL, including:
- Executing batch programs
- Creating and managing files
- Evaluating condition codes
- Strong experience with Mainframe DB2 application development
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills- 2+ years of experience with IBM MQ Series communication
- Experience with COM-PLETE / CICS
- 2+ years of experience with RACF Security, IBM Passticket, and MVS console operations
- Exposure to System Z - TPF environments
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement business and technical IT solutions using SDLC methodologies
- Build, test, and implement application components for core mainframe systems
- Participate in application enhancements, upgrades, conversions, and implementations
- Use appropriate tools to analyze and resolve business and technical issues
- Apply specialized knowledge in legacy systems, integration, and niche technologies
- Interact with business stakeholders to understand business processes and technical requirements
- Validate project scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned initiatives
- Lead development and support activities across multiple platforms and technologies
- Define project scope, implementation timelines, and delivery milestones
- Research, recommend, and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices
- Assist in identifying and defining alternative technical solutions to business problems
