Position Summary

We are seeking a Portal Technology Lead to oversee the development of high-impact software solutions that serve as a critical touchpoint with our Investors. This role is ideal for a hands-on, adaptable full-stick engineering leader who thrives on problem solving and enjoys leading a team of engineers delivering products that elevate our Investor's portal experience.

This position emphasizes modern AI Driven software development, cloud-native engineering practices including continuous delivery, automated testing, feature switches, and incremental deployment strategies. This position will play a key role in owning and shaping the direction of our Investor Portal with respect to both the product's capabilities and its technical implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with Investor Relations product managers to understand user/business needs and translate them into impactful, user-friendly technical solutions.
  • Lead design and code reviews, mentor other developers, and uphold engineering standards across the team.
  • Support and lead a group of senior developer/pod leaders each responsible for an individual agile pod to coordinate overall delivery of new features and ongoing platform maintenance.
  • Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable full stack features and capabilities centered around providing a first-class experience on our Investor Portal.
  • Implement AWS-native services (Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, API Gateway, S3, and RDS) to create a robust technology infrastructure to support high availability and scalability on the platform.
  • Leverage appropriate high-level languages and frameworks (primarily dotnet/C#) for backend microservices, data processing, and serverless orchestration.
  • Architect solutions to support continuous delivery, using techniques like feature flags, canary deployments, and blue/green environments to reduce risk and accelerate release cycles.
  • Build automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability in production.
  • Contribute to a DevOps culture by integrating with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and security practices from development through deployment.


Qualifications

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor's Degree, required
  • Concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, preferred


Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of overall relevant technical experience, required
  • Software engineering experience, with deep expertise in full stack development and system integrations, required
  • Familiarity with emerging AI Driven software development lifecycle principles, tooling and agents and experience stitching them together to speed up development teams.
  • Strong proficiency in a high-level language/framework, including building microservices and automation scripts.
  • Proven experience building and deploying applications on AWS, including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, and RDS.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices: infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Demonstrated use of feature toggles, automated testing, and incremental delivery patterns in a production setting.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and secure data integration.
  • Experience with Web Portals and CRM platforms/data and integrating them with other internal or third-party systems.
  • Prior experience supporting Investor Relations, fund reporting, or private equity investor servicing functions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, auditability, and compliance within technology systems.
  • Exposure to BI/reporting platforms or data visualization tools.
  • Solid frontend development skills with React, Angular, or Vue.


Competencies & Attributes

  • Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience leading/mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Experience managing and implementing technical product roadmaps.
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise grade software applications.


Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $170,000 to $190,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
