Full Job Description
Logistics/Procurement Lead Position Summary The Logistics & Procurement Lead oversees end-to-end procurement, ordering, and logistics operations in support of a U.S. Government contract. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant acquisition and delivery of materials, equipment, and services. The individual will coordinate closely with vendors, technical teams, and program management to maintain reliable supply chain operations and support program objectives. Key Responsibilities - Oversee order management process, ensuring orders are placed accurately, in a timely manner, and in alignment with customer requirements. - Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure timely production, accurate fulfillment, and adherence to contract requirements and quality standards. - Coordinate deliveries with on-site personnel and ensure deliveries are received, inventoried, and invoiced accurately. - Develop and manage logistics plans for multi-site delivery environments, coordinating shipments, storage requirements, and resource allocation. - Manage configuration, staging, and integration activities where applicable. - Maintain order trackers and inventory lists and communicate status updates to applicable stakeholders. - Coordinate with program management and technical teams to forecast material demand and ensure timely procurement aligned with program objectives. - Lead continuous process improvement efforts to streamline procurement workflows, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory practices. Required Qualifications - Experience in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or related operations supporting Government or environments. - Experience with relevant procurement and logistics management software. - Strong skills in analyzing procurement and logistics data, identifying trends or issues, and preparing detailed status reports, risk summaries, and recommendations for stakeholders. - Experience collaborating with cross functional teams to streamline and document processes. - Experience with inventory tracking, distribution scheduling, and coordinating shipments to multiple locations. - Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and enforce quality standards. - Experience proactively identifying supply-chain risks, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating impacts to program leadership. Preferred Qualifications - Experience tracking expenditures, validating vendor invoices, supporting cost estimates, and maintaining procurement activities within approved funding levels. - Familiarity with Government property management requirements. - TS/SCI Security Clearance
