In this role, you will be required to collect and interpret logistics (financial and operational) data, evaluate the efficiency of transits, and identify streamlined transportation methods for all global needs .
As part of the Global Supply Chain team, the Logistics Analyst will be responsible for detailed analysis of freight lanes including freight, lead time, budget vs. actual cost for freight, brokerage, taxes, duties, as well as capacity and delivery performance including but not limited to freight cost audit.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing various internal and external tools, data sources and resources perform lane analysis for freight movement by mode of transport and support action plans to improve profitability on a lane-by-lane basis.
- Access third party databases where available to extract data for analysis (i.e., freight audit serviced, TMS, GTM service provider data)
- Support weekly, monthly, and yearly rate negotiations as well as on time spot rates negotiations to achieve competitive rates.
- Create process to efficiently monitor, audit, and analyze quoted rates vs. actual to ensure rate adherence.
- Create process and tools to maintain pricing formulas and rate tables and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Review and analyze logistics accessorial charges including waiting time, storage, packing, extra fuel, etc. and recommend actions to control and reduce costs.
- Monitor lane capacity and transit times and pro-actively notify supply chain of negative trends.
- Work closely with supply chain team, logistics, customs, and trade compliance departments globally to increase efficiencies and decrease excess costs.
- Design and maintain cost and delivery reporting to provide on-going visibility of logistics and related costs.
- Work with accounts department to support any requirements they may have with respect to rates and billing. Verify, rectify any invoicing issues related to transportation.
- Create processes and implantation of Carrier KPIs
- Monthly KPIs (Carriers, service, budget, financial)
- Out bound cost and quote management.
- Support Sourcing Manager in running RFQs, budgets and forecasting
Qualifications:
- C ollege Diploma preferably with a Logistics background or equivalent long term work experience
- Good mathematic skills
- 5 years' experience preferably in a in Global Supply Chain and Transportation Freight Analysis
Pay Range: $75,000 - $91,000
