Legal Secretary - Metro Atlanta

Who:
An experienced legal administrative professional with a strong background supporting litigation attorneys in a law firm environment.

What:
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to a busy litigation team, including document preparation, docket management, and trial support.

When:
Immediate opening for a candidate ready to contribute in a fast-paced legal setting.

Where:
Atlanta, Georgia - fully onsite position.

Salary:
$85,000-$95,000 annually.

Position Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Legal Secretary to support a team of litigators by handling a wide range of administrative and legal tasks in a high-volume environment.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, and discovery materials
  • Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, travel, and client communications
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files
  • Handle state and federal e-filing and court submissions
  • Track deadlines and manage case dockets within the case management system
  • Coordinate billing processes and assist with resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare exhibits and assist with trial preparation
  • Manage and organize discovery documentation
  • Enter attorney time and assist with new matter intake
  • Support business development efforts through presentations and materials
  • Assist with file closing and records management
  • Provide additional administrative support as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of legal secretary or legal assistant experience in a law firm
  • Prior experience supporting litigation attorneys
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including formatting and track changes
  • Experience with document management systems (iManage preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
