Full Job Description
Job Summary

Dayton Parts is seeking a Lean Practitioner to join our manufacturing engineering team at our Harrisburg, PA manufacturing facility. In this role, you will actively engage in continuous improvement and efficiency projects that target products, systems, operations, and processes. Lean improvement initiatives will focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and efficiency to achieve measurable benefits that enhance customer satisfaction. This role is onsite Monday through Friday.

Primary Duties
• Analyze current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate as to how to improve business and manufacturing processes. Devise and test solutions and roll out new ways of working.
• Lead and participate in Kaizen-Continuous Improvement Events (CIE's).
• Perform workplace audits and streamlining processes within area of responsibility.
• Process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity with a particular focus on layouts and sequencing.
• Recommend to management changes that can cut waste from operating procedures.
• Deploy appropriate methodologies to problem solving and support teams to solve problems. Ensure the escalation process for problem solving is effective.
• Demonstrate performance excellence behaviors within the business and champion performance excellence.
• Support the business in establishing "best practice."
• Implement standard work, visual factory, and error proofing (poka yoke)
• Undertake continuous training and development.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Carry out time and motion studies to support productivity improvements.
• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems.
• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $69,000.00 to $101,300.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
