THE ROLE Lead UX Designer - Platform ToolsQuince is looking for a Lead UX Designer to own the end-to-end design of key internal Platform Tool product areas that support critical business and operational workflows, such as our Warehouse Management Portal.
This is a senior, highly hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership. You will own specific product areas from problem definition and product strategy through detailed design, implementation, and iteration.
Our Platform Tools support complex operational processes and users across different functions and environments. The problems are often ambiguous, interconnected, and highly dependent on understanding how the business actually operates. You will be expected to go beyond translating requirements into screens - working with Product, Engineering, Operations, and end users to identify problems, understand workflows, determine what should be built, and define the right experience within your product areas.
This role is ideal for a senior designer who enjoys ownership, ambiguity, systems thinking, and bringing structure to complex problems. You should be comfortable independently driving work forward even when requirements are incomplete or the solution is not yet defined.
You will also help shape how Quince designs and builds products in an increasingly AI-native environment. We are looking for someone who actively uses tools such as Claude, Figma Make, and other AI-powered design and development tools to accelerate exploration, prototyping, iteration, and collaboration with Engineering.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Work On:- Key product areas across Quince's internal and external-facing Platform Tools
- Dashboards and data-heavy interfaces used to monitor and manage business operations
- Complex workflows involving multiple states, exceptions, roles, permissions, and dependencies
- Information architecture and navigation within and across assigned Platform Tool product areas
- Foundational UX and interaction patterns for complex operational products
- New product surfaces as Platform Tools expand in scope and capability
- The continued application and evolution of Quince's Platform Design System and AI-Native Design System
What You'll Do:- Own UX design end to end across assigned Platform Tool product areas, from problem definition and product strategy through detailed design, implementation, and iteration.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and end users to understand needs, define problems, and determine what should be built - not just how it should look.
- Translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into simple, efficient, and scalable workflows and experiences.
- Define information architecture, interaction models, user flows, and detailed UI while making thoughtful decisions around hierarchy, patterns, and tradeoffs.
- Prototype and iterate quickly to explore ideas, validate solutions, and align with cross-functional partners before and during development.
- Partner with Engineering through implementation to ensure shipped experiences meet a high bar for usability, consistency, and quality.
- Apply and evolve Quince's design system, contributing reusable patterns that can scale across the broader Platform Tools ecosystem.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and Figma Make as a core part of the design process to accelerate exploration, prototyping, iteration, and collaboration.
QualificationsRequired:- 7+ years of UX or Product Design experience
- Experience designing complex B2B, enterprise, SaaS, or operational products
- Proven ability to own ambiguous product problems end to end as a senior IC
- Strong UX and visual judgment across complex, data-heavy workflows
- Strong systems thinking, interaction design, and information architecture skills
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Figma Make, or similar tools as part of the design process
Preferred:- Experience with logistics, supply chain, warehouse, fulfillment, or related operational domains
- Experience designing tools used in physical operational environments
- Experience contributing to design systems or reusable UX patterns
- Experience creating functional prototypes with front-end code or AI-assisted development tools
- Experience designing AI-powered product experiences or workflows
