About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Talent Management Consultant to partner and redefine and operationalize the enterprise skills strategy, positioning skills as a core driver of talent decisions across hiring, development, and workforce planning.
This role sits within Organizational Development & Effectiveness (OD&E) and collaborates across HR and business leadership to translate strategy into scalable execution, including advancement of AI-enabled skills capabilities.
In this role, you will:
Define and evolve the enterprise skills strategy aligned to business priorities and workforce transformation goals
Translate strategy into multi-year roadmaps and actionable plans
Establish governance, standards, and decision frameworks for skills adoption across the organization
Lead the skills identification and taxonomy process, including frameworks, methodologies, and quality standards
Partner with job architecture, workforce planning, and HR technology stakeholders to ensure alignment
Drive consistency and scalability in how skills are defined, validated, and maintained
Lead review and adoption of AI-driven skills inference tools (e.g., talent marketplace, skills cloud, or external platforms)
Translate business needs into requirements for AI models, data inputs, and use cases
Partner with HR tech and data teams to improve accuracy, adoption, and trust in AI-generated skills data
Influence senior leaders to adopt skills-based practices across talent processes
Act as a strategic advisor to HR and business stakeholders on skills-driven decision making
Drive alignment across teams with dotted-line execution responsibility (e.g., job design, L&D, talent acquisition)
Lead complex, ambiguous, enterprise-wide initiatives from concept through implementation
Build and manage strategic plans, milestones, and success metrics
Monitor adoption and impact; iterate based on insights and outcomes
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Talent Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Proven experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with unclear starting points
Experience working across multiple HR disciplines (e.g., TA, L&D, job architecture)
Experience with skills-based talent management models (skills taxonomy, ontology, skills cloud)
Familiarity with platforms such as Workday Skills Cloud, HiredScore, or similar tools
Background in assessment strategy or talent acquisition transformation
Experience operating in a matrixed organization with dotted-line accountability
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving in ambiguous environments
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority
Advanced analytical skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
Experience operationalizing frameworks into scalable processes
Comfort using and enabling AI-powered tools and platforms (e.g., skills inference, talent marketplaces, HR analytics)
Ability to bridge technical concepts with business outcomes
Curiosity and adaptability in a rapidly evolving AI landscape

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
