As a Lead Software Engineer atJPMorganChasewithin Consumer and Community Banking - AML/KYC Update team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, youare responsible forconducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm9s businessobjectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support multiple Java and React applications on AWS and internal cloud platforms, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Identifyopportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, driving a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to application functionality and user experience

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • 8+ years of coding experience in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices) and 2+ years of React development (TypeScript, Redux)
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
  • Knowledge of EAC (Enterprise Application Configuration) and Terraform for infrastructure as code and environment provisioning
    Proficiency in GenAI solutions.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies and cross-product team collaboration
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security practices
  • Experience with Microservices, API development, and Cloud Technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Full stack development experience
