WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive test automation strategies for frontend applications, with focus on functional, smoke, and regression testing, test data management and test environment provisioning. This role ensures high-quality application delivery in a fast-paced environment while providing technical expertise and mentorship to team members. The position partners with development, architecture, and business teams to deliver robust client-facing solutions in a dynamic financial services environment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test automation strategies for frontend applications across functional, smoke, and regression testing
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using industry-leading tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin)
  • Create and maintain test management documentation; define, track, and report on quality metrics
  • Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and provide technical guidance to team members (onshore and offshore)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable testing scenarios and validation rules
  • Manage defect tracking workflows and coordinate resolution with development and business teams
  • Work closely with vendors to implement testing solutions
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams
  • Manage test data, testing in multiple environments, and CI/CD pipeline integration to establish continuous test cycles


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
  • 6+ years of hands-on test automation experience automating web, mobile and API layers in both windows and linux environments.
  • 5+ years of experience working with and testing relational Databases.
  • Strong proficiency with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or TestCafe)
  • Strong understanding of BDD principles and experience writing Gherkin syntax for executable specifications
  • Deep knowledge of the various types of testing, from functional testing to performance and security testing
  • Proven ability mentoring team members (onshore & offshore) and providing technical direction
  • Proficiency with Git version control, branching strategies, and strong experience testing and working in continuous delivery (CICD) environment.
  • Experience with test management tools (Azure Test Plans, Jira QMetry) and quality metrics reporting


Nice-to-have:
  • Experience testing and automating Salesforce Sales and/or Service cloud as well as Agent force is a big plus
  • Experience using AI tools like Copilot for test design or test automation
