Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership and Roadmap
  • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the data platform, aligning it to business goals and client needs.
  • Define and prioritize the data product backlog, balancing new capabilities, technical health, and stakeholder demand.
  • Set clear outcomes, success measures, and release priorities, and hold the product function accountable for delivering them.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Coordinate across business, data, technology, and client-facing stakeholders to align on priorities, trade-offs, and sequencing.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the data product, resolving competing demands and driving decisions to closure.
Engineering Partnership and Delivery
  • Partner closely with engineering and data teams to translate the roadmap into well-defined requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Guide the build through delivery cycles, making prioritization calls and unblocking the team as needed.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and platform standards are built into what the team delivers.
Leadership Communication
  • Communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and key decisions to senior leadership through clear narratives and executive-ready materials.
  • Build support for the product vision and secure alignment and investment from senior stakeholders.
Strategy and Continuous Improvement
  • Use market, competitor, and capability insights to shape data product positioning and investment decisions.
  • Define objectives, KPIs, and governance cadences, and continuously improve how the product function operates.
Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in product management or product ownership roles, strategy roles with a focus on data.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery for data platforms, data products, or complex technology products.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership and coordinating stakeholders across complex, cross-functional organizations.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • Solid understanding of data platforms and data products such as data pipelines, data quality, and governance concepts, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and other cloud platforms would be a bonus.
  • Proficiency with product and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and roadmapping software.
  • Strong grounding in product ownership and Agile delivery, including roadmapping, backlog management, prioritization, and writing clear requirements and user stories.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and translate strategy into action.
  • Structured, analytical thinking with a strong product and data mindset and a bias toward decisive problem-solving.
  • Ability to operate independently, own outcomes, and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.


The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 140,000 to 160,000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
