Full Job Description
Analog Devices is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Planner to lead frontend supply planning activities for the Wilmington manufacturing site. This role is responsible for balancing customer demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and material availability to ensure reliable product delivery while maximizing factory performance. In addition to traditional supply planning responsibilities, this position plays a critical leadership role in ADI's manufacturing resiliency strategy. The successful candidate will drive supply continuity initiatives, including the planning and execution of resiliency transfers, alternate source qualifications, and site-to-site manufacturing migrations. This work will require close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Business Units, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted customer supply during qualification and transfer activities. This position requires a highly analytical planner capable of translating complex manufacturing constraints into actionable supply plans while providing clear communication to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Supply Planning & Factory Execution • Develop and maintain supply plans that support customer demand while optimizing inventory and service levels. • Balance demand, capacity, materials, and manufacturing constraints across multiple product families. • Create and manage short-term and long-term production plans. • Monitor factory performance against shipment commitments and identify risks to customer deliveries. • Lead weekly supply reviews and support monthly S&OP and Integrated Business Planning processes. • Analyze backlog, inventory, capacity utilization, and manufacturing output trends to drive proactive actions. • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to resolve shortages, bottlenecks, and operational disruptions. • Develop delivery recovery plans for constrained products and communicate mitigation strategies to stakeholders. • Support allocation decisions during periods of supply constraint. Resiliency Transfer Planning • Lead supply planning activities associated with manufacturing resiliency initiatives and site transfer programs. • Develop transition plans supporting product qualification and manufacturing transfers between internal and external production locations. • Evaluate supply risks associated with qualification schedules, inventory positioning, capacity readiness, and customer commitments. • Build ramp-up and ramp-down scenarios that maintain continuity of supply during transfer events. • Partner with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to align transfer milestones with customer delivery requirements. • Monitor qualification progress and assess potential impacts on inventory, service levels, and customer commitments. • Develop contingency plans addressing qualification delays, yield variability, and startup risks. • Provide leadership visibility into transfer readiness, key risks, and required mitigation actions. Analytics & Continuous Improvement • Utilize planning systems, ERP tools, and analytical models to improve supply planning effectiveness. • Develop scenario analyses that evaluate demand variability, capacity constraints, and inventory strategies. • Establish reporting and dashboards to improve visibility into supply performance and resiliency readiness. • Drive process improvements that enhance planning accuracy, delivery predictability, and operational responsiveness. • Support digital transformation initiatives related to planning automation and advanced analytics. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. • 8+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, operations planning, or semiconductor manufacturing. • Experience balancing demand, capacity, inventory, and operational constraints in a complex manufacturing environment. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and develop actionable insights. • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving operations, engineering, quality, and business stakeholders. • Advanced proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems. • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-making across organizational levels. Preferred Qualifications • Semiconductor manufacturing experience strongly preferred. • Experience supporting manufacturing transfers, product qualifications, or multi-site operations. • Knowledge of S&OP, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and supply chain optimization methodologies. • Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or similar planning systems. • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification. • Experience developing analytical models, dashboards, and planning automation tools. The individual will play a critical role in qualifying and transitioning production across manufacturing sites, ensuring supply continuity while supporting strategic growth, risk reduction, and business continuity objectives. This position offers significant visibility across Operations, Engineering, Business Units, and executive leadership. For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
