Full Job Description
The Lead OneStream Application Administrator serves as the technical owner and administrator for Zayo's OneStream platform within the Financial Reporting function who owns the day-to-day administration, configuration, technical governance, application controls, and technical support of Zayo's OneStream platform. This role supports consolidation, management reporting, planning, forecasting, financial controls, and reporting processes by maintaining the application structure, workflows, integrations, business rules, security, reporting objects, and production release discipline. The role partners closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Enterprise Technology, external implementation partners, and OneStream Support to ensure the platform remains accurate, controlled, scalable, and aligned to business needs. The role also provides analytical support by translating finance and accounting requirements into sustainable application solutions, supporting reconciliations, troubleshooting complex issues, and advising stakeholders on system impacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the OneStream platform, including cubes, dimensions, metadata, hierarchies, workflows, scenarios, business rules, mappings, dashboards, cube views, security, and integrations.
  • Serve as the primary technical administrator and escalation point for OneStream issues during close, forecast, budget, and executive reporting cycles.
  • Configure and support application functionality for financial reporting, management reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs, Capital Planning and workforce planning processes.
  • Implement approved changes to legal entity, management reporting, account, product, region, cost center, and other financial hierarchies, including workflow assignments, currency settings, security, mappings, and consolidation properties.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot business rules, calculations, allocations, seeding processes, load workflows, integrations, transformation profiles, and mapping rules.
  • Analyze and resolve complex application, data, security, reporting, workflow, calculation, reconciliation, failed-load, and performance issues; coordinate advanced support with external partners and OneStream Support when needed.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Finance stakeholders to understand reporting and process requirements, assess application impacts, and translate business needs into controlled, scalable OneStream solutions.
  • Partner with the OneStream Product & Reporting Lead on demand intake, business requirements, backlog prioritization, release planning, UAT, user support, and stakeholder communication; serve as the designated backup for selected Product & Reporting Lead responsibilities during absences, peak reporting periods, and critical business cycles.
  • Support technical investigation and resolution of reconciliation differences between consolidation and management reporting outputs, including differences related to eliminations, hierarchy structures, mappings, consolidation journals, and management adjustments.
  • Manage controlled changes across development, UAT, and production environments, including testing, migration, release documentation, post-deployment validation, backout planning, and audit-ready evidence; ensure material changes receive independent business/UAT validation and required approvals in accordance with change-management controls.
  • Maintain application documentation, data lineage, mapping inventories, runbooks, control evidence, access review support, and knowledge transfer materials to reduce key-person dependency and support SOX compliance.
  • Cross-train the OneStream Product & Reporting Lead on essential technical procedures and maintain shared runbooks and documentation to reduce key-person dependency and provide effective backup coverage.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience implementing, administering, configuring, or supporting OneStream in a production environment. Experience with other enterprise performance management platforms is beneficial but is not a substitute for substantial hands-on OneStream experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering OneStream cubes, dimensions, metadata, workflows, business rules, mappings, integrations, security, cube views, reporting objects, and application migrations.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, consolidation, intercompany eliminations, legal and management hierarchies, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting controlled development, UAT, release, and production environments, including change documentation, testing, deployment validation, and production support.
  • Working knowledge of SOX controls, access controls, segregation of duties, change management, failed-load monitoring, audit evidence, and financial systems governance.
  • Ability to analyze Finance and Accounting requirements, assess system impacts, recommend practical solutions, and explain technical issues in clear financial and business terms.
  • Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills in time-sensitive reporting and close-cycle environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OneStream administration, implementation, or development certification.
  • Experience supporting a multi-cube OneStream environment and consolidation-to-management reporting reconciliations.
  • Experience with advanced OneStream business rules, extensibility rules, and dashboard development.
  • Working experience with SQL, APIs, ETL/integration concepts, relational databases, and/or cloud data platforms.
  • Experience integrating OneStream with ERP, HR, CRM, operational, or enterprise data warehouse platforms.
  • Experience with consolidation, ownership structures, intercompany eliminations, and foreign-currency translation.
