Role Overview:The Lead Manual QA Analyst will be responsible for comprehensive quality assurance activities, including reviewing project documentation, developing test strategies, creating and executing test cases, and managing defects. This role requires strong analytical skills, particularly with SQL, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while leading offshore deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Review core project documentation, perform ambiguity reviews, and provide estimates.
- Develop project testing artifacts such as test strategies, test plans, and traceability matrix.
- Create and execute reusable test cases and develop applicable test data to validate the entire application.
- Leverage SQL skills and knowledge of data models to conduct in-depth analysis of defects and their root causes.
- Collaborate with Business Users, BSAs, and Development teams to address gaps in documentation and testing strategies.
- Manage multiple tasks and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Prepare project reports and provide detailed daily/weekly project status to the QA Manager and Project Team.
- Lead offshore deliverables and support the automation team.
- Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
- Manage and update the Regression test suite.
Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience in developing QA artifacts including test plans, test cases, test data development, and defect management.
- 5+ years of experience utilizing requirements, test case, and defect management tools, developing and executing manual functional test cases.
- Expertise in Functional Testing, Black Box Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and Regression Testing.
- Excellent understanding of SDLCs and various testing methodologies.
- Understanding of business analysis strategies with ability to ensure quality requirements.
- Advanced Knowledge in SQL, including Microsoft SQL Server 2019.
- Proficiency in Manual Testing Processes and Management.
Qualifications:- Overall 8-10 years of experience in QA roles.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain Project Test Plans and manage Project Schedules.
Preferred Skills:- Prior experience in Workers' Compensation or other Property/Casualty insurance lines.
- Experience in conducting web services testing through usage of SOAPUI Pro, XML, or WSDL.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, with functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.
