Serve as the lead Information Technology (IT) Program Manager and senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) driving cyber defense and governance across enterprise networks and systems. In this critical role, you will lead a dedicated team of IT professionals, spearheading innovative cybersecurity policies while safeguarding on-premise, cloud, and hybrid operational environments supporting defense missions.
What you will accomplish:
- Enterprise Cyber Authority: Act as the principal advisor and architect of next-generation corporate cybersecurity policies, standards, and practices across the entire organization.
- Lead & Develop Talent: Exercise official team leadership over cybersecurity professionals, directing project execution, research studies, and continuous technical growth.
- Comprehensive IT Ecosystem: Drive security integration across a diverse technology footprint, encompassing cloud networks, virtualization, modern storage, database services, and enterprise help desk support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team & Program Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership, task management, and project oversight for subordinate team members handling complex cybersecurity initiatives.
- Strategic Cyber Governance: Research, develop, and implement innovative cybersecurity policies, practices, and governance frameworks to defend against evolving threats.
- Network & Infrastructure Defense: Partner with Network & System Operations to integrate robust security controls across on-premise networks, cloud environments, and server infrastructures.
- Operational Readiness & Vulnerability Management: Oversee vulnerability identification, remediation strategies, and technical refreshes, ensuring Tier I/II/III support teams maintain strict cyber hygiene.
If you are:
- A seasoned IT Program Manager with demonstrated success in driving large-scale cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and organizational policy shifts.
- A cybersecurity technical authority deeply knowledgeable in risk management, network defense, system vulnerabilities, and cloud/on-premise security architectures.
- A collaborative mentor and leader skilled at coaching technical teams, aligning IT operations with compliance requirements, and communicating risk to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain appropriate Security clearance
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Cyberspace qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03
- Designated Drug Testing Position
Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Leadership ability, including the ability to coach, mentor, inspire, motivate, guide, and challenge team members toward goal accomplishment and the ability to adapt leadership style to a variety of situations.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of computer system theories, concepts, principles, and practices, procedures, policies, standards, operational requirements, and the ability to relate to user requirements.
3. Specific in-depth knowledge of computer system security policies, technology, threats, and issues to include knowledge of IT INFOSEC security requirements for certification and accreditation, network operations and protocols, systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and conduct security accreditation reviews for installed systems or networks and assess and advise on new revised security measures and countermeasures based on the results of
accreditation reviews.
4. Knowledge of operational and performance characteristics of computer systems to develop procedures/ policies, practices for use.
5. Knowledge of performance characteristics of computer equipment, systems, services, and transmission media to evaluate new devices, proposals, and approaches.
6. Knowledge of associated methods and techniques such as contracting procedures/legal requirements, cost analyses, and budgets.
7. Ability to develop and conduct training on information security.
8. Ability to analyze a variety of unusual computer conditions, problems, questions or conditions associated with formulating projects or studies.
9. Ability to research patterns to develop new methods, criteria, or proposed new computer policies and procedures.
