Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lead Industrialization Engineer - Molding to join our team. This hybrid position that is based out of our Moon Township, PA Eaton location and offers benefits from day one. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US/PR.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:
The Molding Engineer role is a subject matter expert for internal and external molding operations within the Power Components Division. This role will guide and direct engineering, production, and suppliers through a combination of education, personal knowledge and experiences as well as through external consultants and partners. Expertise includes plastics materials and processes, including polymer related additive manufacturing processes. The Molding Engineer will deploy new technologies, develop tools and processes, assess materials and part design, and build organizational capabilities in molding. This role will collaborate with other functions and suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timing deliverables are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Knowledge of molding operations across PCD and suppliers, including specialized processes.
• Lead molding process development and validation for NPD, including quality control and strength testing.
• Drive optimization of molding related processes and procedures for new and existing products.
• Develop mold specifications for new molds; review and approve mold designs and construction.
• Assure new molds and equipment meet expected performance requirements; support troubleshooting and quality issues.
• Create and deploy plastics and molding related Standard Work and training.
• Support business case development for new molds, molding improvement projects, and investments in new molding technologies.
• Drive application of innovative material and process technologies.
• Develop and execute molding related capital and expense budgets.
• Support tooling assessment process for both internal and external molding locations for PCD.
• Interface with PCD molding suppliers to support supplier development and performance.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of molding experience.
• Knowledge of mold design and processes.
• Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in new product development and industrialization.
• Experience in mold and molding process design and development.
• Experience in project planning.
• Experience working with molding suppliers.
• Six Sigma certified or trained.
Skills:
• Expertise in materials, tools, machines, and approaches for different molding technologies including thermoset compression, thermoset/thermoplastic injection, and transfer molding.
• Knowledge and experience with industry best practices and standards for tooling design and molding processes.
• Understands materials, machines, and approaches for polymer additive manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
• Effective communicator within environments ranging from shop floor kaizen teams to operations leadership stakeholder groups.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams.
