Full Job Description
As an Electrical Architecture Engineer, you will be responsible for helping create and integrate the full avionics suite for JetZero's aircraft by translating operator and airworthiness requirements, working with the avionics suppliers to implement those requirements, and going through the testing and integration process. You will collaborate closely with other system engineering teams, labs, and technicians to shape the avionics system.

Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Develop and review the electrical power generation architecture for the airplane including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes.
  • Develop and review the power distribution system architecture for the airplane including bus signal reviews, configuration updates, and wiring changes.
  • Develop and review test plans for power generation and distribution. Conduct bench and airplane tests
  • Electrical power system parts definition, sourcing and development.
  • Establish the requirements database for the Electrical Power System
  • Writing design description documents, technical specifications, and SOWs
  • Designing the grounding bonding, p-static, lightning strategy definition and development.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and guidance

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • 10+ of experience in electrical power design for Part 25 aircraft
  • Experience with supplier oversight
  • Ability to analyze technical data, troubleshoot test failures, and drive root-cause investigations, and document results clearly
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats, intellectual curiosity, and good cross-functional versatility

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Direct experience with airplane development programs especially experimental designs
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and experiment airworthiness process.
  • Advanced power generation, storage, and distribution techniques
  • Familiarity with digital thread approaches (CAD/PLM)
Compensation:

Our compensation package is a blend of base salary and equity options for eligible employees. The range for this role is $165,000 to $190,000. We consider a number of factors when presenting a final offer, including geography, internal equity and years of experience and expertise.
