Title Lead Data Engineer

Role Overview

The Lead Data Engineer will lead data engineering initiatives and serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, onsite teams, and offshore delivery teams. This role combines technical leadership with delivery coordination to ensure the successful execution of data platform, analytics, and data product initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks, SQL, AWS, Airflow, Datadog, APIs, Atlan, and Data Products, along with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. They will drive onsite requirements, foster collaboration across teams, and support the delivery of scalable data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12-15 years of data engineering experience, including 4+ years with Databricks.
• Strong expertise in Databricks, PySpark, SQL, AWS, Airflow, Delta Lake, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with Data Products, Telemetry Data, Clean Rooms, APIs, and modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of GenAI concepts, RAG, Agentic AI frameworks, and Databricks AI capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead onsite-offshore teams, manage stakeholders, and drive successful project delivery.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional/Architect.
• AWS Certification in Data Engineering, Analytics, or AI.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between [$120,000-130,000 annually]/[$65.00-70.00 per hour]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
